Coach

Dan Riverso

Dan Riverso the 2025 NJ.com Boys soccer coach of the year, 2025 Asbury park press shore conference coach of the year, 2025 shore sports insider boys soccer coach of the year & Varsity Boys Soccer Coach Middletown High School South, where he has led the program with passion, discipline, and a strong commitment to player development. A former Division I standout at Rider University, Dan began his coaching career at both Rider University and Match Fit Academy, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate and elite youth levels.

Now entering his 6th season at the helm of Middletown South and his 17th year as an educator, Dan combines his deep soccer knowledge with a teacher’s instinct for mentorship. With over a decade of coaching experience across college, youth, and high school programs, he is dedicated to building competitive teams, developing character in his athletes, and creating a positive culture that prepares players for success on and off the field.

Jon Santos

For the past 5 seasons Jon Santos, has been a vital part of the rebuild of the Middletown South Boys Soccer Program helping them win the 2025 shore conference championship and the 2025 group 3 sectional championship. Additionally, Coach Jon played and captained the Middletown High School South Varsity team and was a part of a multi-time State Cup Champion. In his two seasons as a central midfielder at Middletown High School South he tallied 9 goals and 23 assists along with being named to the all divison and all county teams. Coach Jon then went on to play at the Division 1 level, the highest collegiate soccer level in the U.S.

Alex Romanski

For the past nine seasons, Coach Alex Romanski has been a dedicated high school soccer coach at Middletown South, Madison West, and Madison Memorial. Coach Alex has been a vital part of the rebuild of the Middletown South Boys Soccer Program helping them win the 2025 shore conference championship and the 2025 group 3 sectional championship. In addition to his high school experience, he spent four seasons coaching elementary-age athletes in a club environment, helping young players develop solid technical foundations and a love for the game. As an all-conference athlete at Middletown South and a former collegiate athlete at TCNJ, he brings firsthand high-level playing experience, discipline, and passion to every team he works with. His background as both an accomplished player and an experienced coach allows him to connect with athletes at all levels and guide them toward meaningful development on and off the field.

Middletown South HS Camp

Soccer evolution is committed to offering the best player experience possible. This Camp is a collaboration between the Head Coach of St. Peter's University Men's Soccer (DI), Julian Richens, his Staff and our coaches to better prepare these athletes for their intense high school season. Since coming to the United States in 1999, Julian has been a Regional Manager for Noga ProExcel, a national coaching company. He also directed Champions World Camps with AC Milan and served as head coach for New Jersey City University’s women’s team during the 2003 season. Julian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science in 1998 from Brunel University in England. He is licensed by the USSF, NSCAA and UEFA.Julian continued his strong run at the helm of the men's squad. Under his leadership, the Saint Peter's University men's soccer team advanced to the postseason for three consecutive years, marking it the first time in program history that the team has reached three straight MAAC Championship quarterfinals.

Master the Box: Elite Strikers & Keepers Clinic

Led by 2025 NJ.com Coach of the Year Dan Riverso and Former D1 Standout Jon Santos, this intensive camp focuses on the game’s most decisive positions. Whether you're hunting goals or defending the net, learn the elite techniques used by the pros to dominate the "money zone."

Our curriculum is designed for maximum touches and zero wasted time. From technical isolation to the final 'Evolution' competition, your athlete will face more game-realistic scenarios in two hours than they would in a week of standard practice."

Each day focuses on a specific tactical theme where Strikers and Goalkeepers learn their roles individually before facing off in high-stakes competition.

World Class Coaching Podcast
This week, we had a special opportunity to sit down with NJ.com's Coach of the Year Dan Riverso! After a successful playing and coaching career at Rider University and various other schools, Dan took over the Middletown South Boys Soccer Team and lead them to their first ever Shore Conference Title and NJSIAA Central Group III title in school history! Dan discusses how sometimes less is more and the importance of how his team's culture starts in school before the pitch.
